Audio Ins Keep going from "None" to a feed from the soundcard?

Is there a switch I can flick to stop this from happening or is it just a bug to be put up with?

Are you talking about the input tracks in sonar? They should not change on their own unless you click the down arrow and change them yourself or if you click record

mine change too, apparently on their own.  The key word is apparently.  And my midi port assignments to my controllers change all the time too, automap seizes them all. I have a theory about that, though...

You should disable your on board sound card if it is screwing you up.That's the switch your talking about.

Is your sound card powered on before you start Sonar?

mine always is.  I have a ritual, because in past versions it didn't work to turn it on after Sonar.  And I have experienced this behavior when I was certain the interface was on.

It happens to me too, although mine is a different soundcard and an earlier version of Sonar.

Clarify- Sound card= built into the motherboard or PCI (e) purchased for $20 for gaming , Audio interface= correct term for a device used by people who wish to get DAW to work properly.

LPmike75, I have a Multiface I and it is hooked up to a card in the computer. When the computer cycles up it automatically engages the RME.... Hey Cactus I will try and remember to have a look at the built in soundcard when I am at the computer next time...
