Audio Issue

Out of the blue my audio input stopped working. When I assign the audio input to the audio track I lose the Meter on the right hand side. It grays out. I have my sound card selected in the audio set up. The problem seems so simple.

    This could be a number of issues. It could be you preferences set under audio settings or it could be something like trying to plug external speakers or headphones into your computer's headphone jack.

    Have you got the latest drivers for your SE for Windows XP?
    Any other software or driver updates lately? For anything. Upgrade to IE 9?
    Have you done a system restore to a date when you knew it was working?
     
    Sorry for the rant above. I hate these spammers who try to act like Cakewalk users but are just... spammers, the lowest form of life.

    yes, that's the way these spammers are working now.  they'll just copy what someone else said and put their links in the post for people to click on.  they're scum.
