Audio Noise with Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1

Howdy All... I've used an Audio Kontrol 1 as interface for SONAR X1 for several years... NO PROBLEM. All of a sudden, I get pops in the output when starting a file, inserting a synth... all in random fashion. Something changed... I've run wave profiler, checked bit rates, etc Any advice on how best to deal with this?

    What driver mode?
    What is your ASIO buffer setting? Or WDM slider setting?
    What is your PC specs?
    Do you have the latest drivers installed for the AK1?
    How big is the project?
    Is it just that project?
     
    Running the wave profiler does not do any good if you use the default settings. you need to find that sweet spot for that project

    HI CJay!!! As always thanks a bunch for your response. I did update all drivers... I'll be back in the studio tomorrow and send add'l info... This one has me stymied....
