Audio Out Of Time

Has this just started happening? or has it always been this way? are you using asio drivers? If so then are you letting them use the reported latency? I believe that you can also use the manual offset to change it if you think you can line it up more accurately.
This is just a guess and at very worst... a bump.

I'm sure the guys on here will definitely help troubleshoot and solve the prob.

As the wizard said its all in your "sync" settings.

In general let Sonar "use reported ASIO latency".
If you are not using the ASIO drivers, you have to use the Manual Offset.

Yes, this is the first time this has happened. A little background. I recently made two upgrades to my recording setup. The first was replacing my old Lexicon Lambda interface with a Focusrite Scarlett 18i6. Then I upgraded Sonar from X1 Studio to X2 Producer. Typically, I don't change more than one thing in my setup until I have a handle on the first piece of new equipment but a really great deal on the Focusrite and Cakewalk offering to upgrade me to X2 for $99 bucks hit about the same time. I couldn't afford to pass up either since I knew I wanted to upgrade to X2 Producer anyway. Loving the Pro Channel!

Thanks to the screen shot Tom posted, I figured it out. I was using the ASIO drivers and had the "Use ASIO Reported Latency" checked. However, the wrong device was selected in the drop down box. I was using a Line 6 plugin and had my old GX interface plugged in as well. The Latency Adjustment was set to it, not the Focusrite. I changed it to the Focusrite and did a test pass and it lined up on the beat.
 
I appreciate everyone chiming in to help. I may not have metronome-like perfect timing, but I knew I wasn't as off as the waveform showed, especially since it showed me right on while laying down the track! And scook, I read through the link you posted and will take a look at that as well. That info should be included as part of the standard setup instructions when installing Sonar.

If you're still having problems, try updating the your i8i6 driver.
