Audio clip waveform display changes to staight lines but sound is still present

X1 with lots of soft synths and hardware.  16GIG RAM - 8 cores... I'm not crashing or anything...  it's not the computer it's Sonar and Dummy ME.!!!    I had audio clips that had waveforms.  Suddenly they were straight lines.  When I reimport they are again straight lines.  What did I do?  How can I get the waveforms back?  I'm right in the middle of a large project and I can't see it but I can hear it just fine!  I hate to admit I've been a Cakewalk user since version 3!   Thank you!

Try deleting the picture cache. Sonar will create a new one when you boot it up, and will rewrite all the picture files.

Jaydrake, Thanks I found in the help section how to to that and an additional tip.  Select the clip, right click and choose "associated audio files" then select the track in the window (again) and click "Recompute Pictures"...   Your assessment was correct, the picture files were corrupted.  In X1 I don't have to go fishing in the OS!   GREAT tIP
