Audio clips are locked in place, cannot move them
I have a REALLY old Cakewalk composition (originally pre 2000!) which I've tinkered with over many Cakewalk>>Sonar and Windows upgrades, just simple midi and audio. Somehow, within the last few months, in Win7 (now Win 10) and Sonar Artist 25, some of the audio clips have been shifted and now play about 5 seconds too late. I've tried everything to drag them back to where they should be, but they seem locked in place. Nothing I do will move them, and I've read all the help and forum posts I can find - no-one else seems to have had this problem. What can I do?

Select a clip, open the track inspector, choose the clip tab and check to see if the clip lock is on or off. Rocky

Thanks for the quick reply! Looks like they're unlocked; can send a screen shot if you wish.

That's odd behavior for clips that aren't locked. Locked clips will have a little yellow pad lock on them. As a work around you may be able to use 'nudge'. Under preferences tick advanced, scroll down to customization, click nudge and set one of the nudge selections to 5 seconds. In your project, select a track which will select all clips and go to process, nudge and choose whatever nudge selection you set in the previous step. Rocky

Make sure the Edit Filter on those tracks is set to Clips.

On a side note.... Over 15 years working on the same composition. That's dedication! Or procrastination.
