Audio dropouts using Sonar X3c Media browser

Hi, I'm experiencing audio dropouts using the Media browser in X3c (to preview loops/samples) which I haven't experienced in previous Sonar versions.
Tried increasing buffer sizes, increasing latency, switching drivers from WDM/KS to Asio, deleting AUD.ini, all to no effect.
My hardware setup is as per signature. The issue happens with all size projects regardless of track count. CPU unstressed and audio hard drive is 94% empty and no fragmentation.
The Media browser is central to how I work so constantly getting dropouts when I'm working is a very frustrating.

Has anyone experienced the same issue and found a solution?

Thanks

Sonar Platinum, Windows 10 Pro (64 bit), UAD Apollo Twin USB

Did you install ASUS Z87 AI Software?...could be a issue with that...
Did You tweak the os, and turn off security software, and or services not needed to run in background?
And , if need be (manufacturers recommendations)?, turn off internet nic...
