Resourcewise, playing back audio is the easiest job there is in SONAR.
As for the VST FX and soft synths: Freeze, bounce, Apply FX, archive (if it still exists?) are all methods to
lower the load on memory. Also, you can bypass FX during tracking, and enable them during mixing and
simultaneously increasing buffer size. Some may use FX with low CPU or memory load during tracking, and replace them with the more demanding ones when mixing.
Just read the manual. It's all explained there.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
