Audio interface or control surface with a foot switch?

I sold my DAW recording equip three years ago and now want to buy some new gear and get back to recording. In my previous system I had a Tascam FW 1804 as my interface. It had a foot switch that I could use for starting and stopping recording. I really like that feature as I record mostly myself. I can't seem to find any audio interfaces or control surfaces these days that have the foot switch feature. Anybody know of such an unit these days? If not how do you handle starting to record without having to reach over to your computer to punch a key? Thanks, JJ

    If you can find a used Frontier "Tranzport", it will do that.  It is a wireless (USB) unit so you are not restricted to the PC keyboard.  It's been discontinued so you will have to find a used one.
