Audio loops need to be same bit/resolution as project to preview??

I'm up and running with X1 and have a quick question...do audio loops need to be in the same bit/resolution as the project in order to preview them?? I work at 24/48 and when I click on any of the provided X1 loops (in the loop browser) to preview it, I hear nothing. A progress bar (in the control bar) looks like it is converting the audio.

Clicking the loop again does nothing. Double clicking inserts the loop in my track at the desired tempo, but that's no easy way to audition loops. I hope there is something I am missing, because I'd really like to get this feature working.

Any help would be appreciated,
-Bob G.

Check to see if "audio preview bus" is set to master or whatever your sound card output is? Left click on the word media right above Loops/One Shots. You can set it from there.

Such a simple fix...mine defaulted to soundcard output: none

Changed it to output 1/2 and bingo, I'm up and running.
Thanks so much!!
