Audio metronome fixed at 120 bpm, but Midi metronome follows project tempo - what gives?

Hi guys,

Couldn't find any obvious answer to this, but can anyone help me with this.

On Sonar 7 Producer (also MC), I can't vary the audio metronome tempo, even though I have programmed a temp list, it is fixed at 120bpm.

If I configure the metronome to use midi outputs then it works fine, and the project follows my list correctly, but I can't get my head around why the audio metronome is fixed.  Can someone help please, thanks.

On top as a Menu Item there is "Insert". There you will find "Insert Tempo Change" among other things.
You set the tempo and start it at the beginning or at a measure in say a song (or audio file or midi file).

Usually before you record you "Set the Tempo" by "Insert Tempo Change".

    Welcome to the forum.
How are you creating the tempo list?
I've always used the MIDI metronome, but tried the audio met in SONAR X3 today to see if I had the same problem.
    Everything worked as designed.

I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.
    Everything is better with pie.
