Audio peak finder

Hello everybody! Is there a plugin for audio peak detection in a clip? I know I can turn peak "flag" on and simply play the whole clip, but is it possible to find a peak without actually playing the clip?

    I have the same question.
We digitize tapes and vinyl, this peak-information would be really useful, without playing 2 hours of a tapeclip.

We digitize tapes, vinyl, dat, md ... in broadcast and studio quality for publishers, public institutions and individuals.
    4 x Intel Quad-CPU, 4GHz Sonar Platinum (Windows 10 - 64Bit) and 14 computers for recording tapes, vinyl ...

    4 x RME Fireface 800, 2 x Roland Octa Capture and 4 x Roland Quad Capture, Focusrite .... Studer A80, RP99, EMT948 ...

3rd party solution would be Wavelab.

I would not necessarily recommend this for individual tracks (if you have say 30 you're trying to find peaks in) as it requires export/import unless you integrate it into the Utilities menu like you can with SoundForge.

Thank you, I know about Wavelab and Soundforge and their integration into Sonar, but my question was: is there a PLUGIN for finding maximum level in a clip.
