Audio recording not playing back instantly

Hi to all and hope those of you on the East Coast are surviving the storm OK.
I record an audio track with X1c, stop the recording, and playback the track but I don't hear the audio.  I the click the record button on and off, start playback again and then hear the track.  This did not happen in X12b.  Will report it unless my setup is wrong.  Anyone having this issue too?

Thanks.

Sounds like an inter-operability problem with the rdrver - port not being opened on playback. Do the meters show signal? It's surprising that X1b would not have had the same issue, though. All projects exhibit this problem? Have you tried changing driver modes?

I have a similar problem with all versions of SONAR since moving to x64 drivers for my E-MU1820. In my case, input-monitored tracks cannot be heard after I stop recording and rewind. Meters in SONAR continue to show signal, but the meters in my interface mixer do not. SONAR's doing its thing, but the audio ports are not open. Starting playback or cycling the audio engine opens them up, and everything is back to normal. Cycling the Record status might have the same effect (resetting the audio engine and re-opening the ports), but I haven't checked that.

This is a classic inter-operability issue where the 1820m's x64 driver works normally with other DAW software, and SONAR works normally with other interfaces/drivers. Hard to say who's at fault, but the two don't get along. The strange thing is that other 1820m users don't seem to have this issue, so there my be some contributing factor involving the O/S or other hardware/driver config on my machine.

There must be other ZoomR24 users around here who have upgraded to X1c, but if you don't hear from one, you might try pinging Samson's tech support, and seeing if they have an X1c installation to verify it's okay.

Thanks brundlefly for your response.  I changed to WDM drivers and then deleted by aud.ini file.  Selected ASIO to rebuild the file and now it works.  Don't know what happened before!
