Audio recording problem

Hi

I can't seem to get sonar 8.5 producer to record.

I have armed the audio track to record and selected the correct audio inputs and outputs.

When I record (with the echo feature turned on) I can see and hear the signal.  However when I stop recording there is no wave form displayed nor is there any audio data on the hard drive (viewed through windows explorer).  When I disable the echo feature I do no see or hear any wave form.

Audio interface - Focusrite saffire pro 24 (firewire)
Sonar 8.5 producer
Operating system: windows xp pro sp2 (with the windows hot fix installed  for firewire issues)

    Hey Graham.
Could you please explain your recording chain.
(ie: Guitar - Saffire channel 1 - Sonar track one, set input to Saffire channel one ect.)

    Hi Mike

Just found the solution to my problem - the 'Auto-Punch Toggle' button in the Transport window was on!  Once I disabled this - it worked.

For the record the recording chain was: sound module - saffire channel 1 & 2, sonar track 12, input set to ASIO saffire stereo 1.

    Thanks for your help.
