ok!!!! I asked for this option because on my SSl AWS 900 the faders maxim level is set to +10db and when in Sonr I'm at 0db the faders on the console are a little bit over the zero.....

Analog and digital scales are different.  For most purposes, you can consider 0 db in analog (i.e. on your SSL) to be equal to about -18db in Sonar.  0db in digital (Sonar) is clipping - you want to stay very very far away from it at all costs.  Peaking at -12 db while recording is just fine.  Peaking at -6db on your master bus while mixing is fine.  Let the mastering process boost the level very close to 0db while NEVER reaching 0db.

I was speaking in "controller mode" where the aws is a midi controller for sonar.....
In analog mode, I know what you mean.......
