Audio shutting itself off.

Hello eRryone I have this issue that I really need resovled...I am useing a PC with an M-audio interface(firewiresolo) and when I turn on my comp at times I have to start my comp and restart it again to get volume and the M-audio to work. Now when it finally works and I can hear music it maybe last 20 minutes then out of nowhere I get no volum all audio is gone, now to get it back I restart my computer and it werks but not for long...It especially goes off if im on myspace or youtube, it really bums me out cause your into a track and have to restart all the time.

Is this have something to do with the M-audio and the computers built in audio?

Your thoughts?

    which firewire chipset is in you pc/notebook ?
    are you running sonar while you are on myspace/youtube ?

    Hello Frank,

    I believe I have set up all audio to proceed through my M-audio, But I have seen this change alot, at times Ill press the M-audio button in my pc menu, and it says shut down or reinstall the M-audio driver.

    Is it possible to leave the Youtube, myspace, webpages with the computers audio card? or is that even possible to run both...I dont know.

    Not sure that helps.

    hm..
    if you run sonar and another application at the same time then:
    in sonars audio options disable "share driver with other applications" or similar..

    re-reading your post again I remember having a similar problem.. had to reinstall my os again and it went away.. might have been something to do with an auto-update..

    there's also the slight chance of having firewire-issues.. but those would appear faster than it's happening in your case.. (that's why most of us recommend t.i. firewire chipsets)
