Audio wave object not matching visual wave depiction

So I am very new to SONAR, my setup is a Toshiba satellite laptop and I have an external USB sound card due to the headphone jack being a bit done. Now my problem is quite a fundamental one, When I drag in the loop masters sample to a new project file, the wave indicates only 4 measures of music but the music plays for around 6 measures. This also means that any other audio doesn't start when the graphical depiction indicates it should but instead around 2-4 measures after the audio is supposed to start based on the graphical depiction of the sound wave. My settings will all be the default install settings so is there some preferences I can muck around with to fix this issue? My second issue is when insert a sonar tts instrumet how in laymans terms do I get it to produce sound from my M-audio Oxygen 25 keyboard. Thanks. Is the TTS Basically like your  software equivalent of your standard GM midi hardware keyboard but I cant figure out how to make it actually make sound.

It seems to be working a little better now that I allowed that wdsm thing as the driver mode. I am now at the point where I get sound out the TTS or the other options but I am not sure why inserting one tts instrument creates 4-5 other tracks but only the first of these is editable/produces sound the others don't seem to be editable or producing sound. I just installed ASIO for all so will probably use that as driver setting in future projects.

You don't mention a few things that might help us help you, the more details of your system the better.
First, which version of Sonar, and second what is your USB audio interface make and model.

Always use the most up to date ASIO audio driver found on the manufactures web site.
Make sure to check in Sonars preferences that the audio interface is set as the Timing master etc.

Make sure your Oxygen keyboard shows as your MIDI input device in preferances. If it came with a midi driver, install it.
When you insert any soft synth you have options for how many outputs. If you don't want 4 then choose single output.
To play a soft synth from your keyboard select the keyboard as the input device, omni for the midi track. Activate input echo, point the tracks output at the VST you wish to use.

This is all covered in depth in the help files.
