AudioSnap Strangeness in X1 - "Transients Being Processed" Error

I have contributed to two recent threads involving AudioSnap and the "Transients Being Processed" error/warning.  For a while I was tricked into believing that I understood how to enable/disable AudioSnap.  Now I'm not so sure.
Here are the two recent threads:
http://forum.cakewalk.com...px?m=2717026&high=
and
http://forum.cakewalk.com...px?m=2654335&high=

I have a project with a few midi tracks and 3 audio tracks that gets the "Transients are being processed..." message when opening it.  As far as I can see AudioSnap is not enabled on any track.  I check this by selecting the clips in an audio track and then open the AudioSnap palette by pressing "A".  On all three audio tracks the "Enable/Disable" button in the palette is Grey.  The warning message persists.  I turned AudioSnap "ON" on all three audio tracks by clicking the Grey enable/disable button and it turns Green.
With AudioSnap enabled I do not get the warning message.  What is going on?

If I turn AudioSnap back OFF on the audio tracks, the transients warning message starts happening again.

Although the warning message is merely a nuisance, this behavior is really strange.

Maybe I don't understand the ON versus OFF state of the AudioSnap palette enable/disable button?

And another thing, the help for using the AudioSnap palette says "Except for the AudioSnap enable/disable command, the AudioSnap palette’s controls apply to the currently selected audio clip or clips."  What the heck does that mean?  There is no enable/disable command - there is an enable/disable button.  Is it saying that the enable/disable command applies to the entire project rather than to the selected audio clip or clips?

Grrrrr......

Bounce to clip - that should sort it.

I just got the X1 Power book - maybe that will help me understand your suggestion.
In any case, my original post was mostly looking for answers about enable/disable of AudioSnap and how you know if it's on for a track (or is it on for a project?).

Good luck with that (knowing when its off or on).
I disabled pressing "A" opening Audio Snap as it was driving me nuts.
Powerful feature, but a bit confusing; for me at least...

Yes this needs to be clarified.  I've struggled with this murky subject too
