AudioSnap fails to 'lock on' exactly to snare hits for drums-to-midi procedure

Hey all.  Am having a real struggle with getting AudioSnap to lock onto JUST THE EDGE OF THE Drum-Hit (snare, toms...whatever I'm working with).

As you can see below, the first two snare hits are not locked in-time by AudioSnap's transient marker feature.  The other ones (last 4 snare hits) are being marked rightly.

What can I do to fix this nonsense and make the transients always lock on to the TRUE beat - Yes - I've set the threshold button but it does nothing other than include the lower volume hits (like stick) but with the 'off-the-mark' problem still in play.

Any direction on this would be helpful.

Other settings as below:

Thank you,

Imago Dei

Helllllooooo?  (Boy the response time from folks is getting slower!  I guess us 8.5.3 users are underdogs...should have posted in the X1 forum!).

Anyhow - was able to use N-Gate (A gating tool) to really trim the drum hits down to JUST the hits (no pre-hit noise).  Then I used audio-snap and got the results I was looking for (sort-of).

A better method than this using just AudioSnap would be super though.

Looking forward to (anyone's?!) ideas still.  (I know, I'm impatient...it's only been less than an hour...).

    thanks,

We are trying our best to take some time and answer people's question in sonar. There are other epople also other than you who are waiting for their responses.

You can move the transient marker by clicking on it's head and draging it
