AudioSnap?

I was testing Audiosnap on Sonar 23.8 to quantize a bass audio track and I did not achieve the results I wanted. When I obtained the desired quantization, the audio notes were altered with noises or with unwanted oscillations (I suppose that two notes were mixed at the same time). The sound changed every time.

I would like to know if there is a way to manually regulate the attack of notes that are out of time without automating the process and without altering the sound. Only to move the position of the audio events.

It would be ideal if there was a palette where you see 1) the audio track / 2) the audio transients / 3) the beats in the desired resolution (eighth note, sixteenth note, etc). Maybe there is a way to drag only the beginning of the note.

Thank you in advance and greetings,

Gabriel

You can split the track on transients (each note), then drag those clips to the appropriate location with snap-to-grid enabled. Verify that tab-to-transient actually hits though, as I have read posts saying that it is slightly off now (leave snap-to-grid off if you have to manually slice). Gaps you can then stretch or shrink to fill as needed, but that may be the same issue you are seeing with AudioSnap... the real-time algorithm is light-weight for playback, so after doing those adjustments you need to render (bounce to clip(s)) the AS track.

You may want to actually start there. Save the project with a new name and render the AS work you have done to see if it is better.

    Dear mettelus,

Thank you very much for your answer. I tried your suggestion and I also do not find the desired effect. I have been trying to quantize a bass track for many hours and at this moment I'm thinking that the best option will be to edit each note out of time manually in the track view.

    Thanks and regards,
