Audiofier RIFFENDIUM introduced at Intro Price

I can't believe how awesome this Editable Guitar Loops Library is.  It is SO much more than that.  Unlike anything I've ever seen. You gotta check out their video.  Loops range from clean ballad strumming and arpeggios to grunge rock guitar riffs.  But the engine lets you scramble all of them to make them your own.

http://www.audiofier.com/riffendium/
Maybe not a surprise as it's from the company who gave us Aerkord, Abstrung, and Vesper
4070 loops - over 7GB
Intro price is $65 until Jan 1. After that it will be $85

It includes two instruments: Riffendium and Riffendium DI. The first has ready made effects, and the second is just sounds from the guitar output, so you can put in your own effects.

it is introduced as "Volume 1 - Electric Generic" so there's going to be more of them.

That's a very powerful arrangement tool! Had I not invested into the Shreddage instruments, I'd get this.

I’m hoping so Mesh. I have been quite restrained so far in the Xmas sales but this one piqued my interest.

I have installed both versions now (normal and DI) and had a quick play. This thing sounds great and is packed with ideas to get the creative juices flowing. There was even a useful video in the installation folder explaining how to install the snapshots.

One thing that impressed me and helped me decide to buy was all of the information and videos on their webpage. I'm going to download all of the videos and use them as a tutorial. By the way, if anyone else buys it the "Getting Started" video is the last one in the list for some reason!

Still, $65 is a healthy sum for this.

Thanks ZT, I'm very inclined to get it.
I just realized I also have the SEQui2r Synth from them, but sadly haven't put it to use.

Just saw that Riffendium requires Kontakt 5.8 (got it :))

Hi,
Anyone having a problem with the installation of these libraries? I purchased, downloaded, and followed the install vid instructions but now I am getting the word "Demo" appearing in the upper right area of Kontakt. After a while, the Riffendium interface blacks out entirely and I am asked to go to Native Instruments Access to activate the library. Is the installer missing some key file for activation? I have also updated all my Native Instruments plugs from Native Instruments Access including Kontakt.

Did you receive a serial number to register in Native Access?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. No, I did not see any serials called out in the email. There is an order ID number that begins with AUD - is that the serial?

Thanks,

I don't have this library, but NI serials are 25 digits. Riffendium isn't Kontakt Player compatible, so it's not required. Still, I figured it was worth checking.

Thanks - I'll give that a go. I did contact the Riffendium folks and they are investigating too. If I get it figured out, I will post the solution here.

You need the full version of Kontakt, it's not a Kontakt Player library.  If you don't own the full Kontakt it will only run for 15 minutes.

I'd never heard of this until yesterday and saw it advertised as a free download on some site call vst platinum or something like that. It actually turned out to be several large downloads, so not having time for all that I didn't bother. Seeing this thread now I guess it's safe to assume that what I saw wasn't legit anyway?

No. VST Platinum is as non-legit as it gets.  Total pirate site.

Thanks for reply. I'll swerve that site now and in future then.

I'll also have to pass on the product though as it seems that there is no demo version and I prefer to try before I buy.

It's my first library of theirs but I am impressed so far. Let me know if you go ahead with RIFFENDIUM and we can swap notes :)

Thanks for the encouragement on this ZT.  I'm going for it.  I may want to swap notes on it - as it has some extra twists with needing to record certain keyswitch notes to make certain things happen.  But the sounds are worth the (initial price of $65) for sure.  Hope to see you over at BeyondMyDAW.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

I purchased it a few days ago and the first thing I would say is spend $63 and GET IT.

The good:  Excellent guitar parts that sound fresh and interesting.

The bad:  The manual and videos do a TERRIBLE job of explaining this software.  I am still trying to get a handle on it, but since I am happy with what I have been creating with it, I will tolerate the bad documentation.  I figure I will be even happier when I do figure out exactly how it's supposed to work.

One other minor comment - I think this is the first program I have seen that makes good use of Kontakt's maximum width.  I have a few other programs (Noir and the Red Room Palette instruments) that use the wider format but it's mostly cosmetic.  Riffendium is using the wider 'real estate' for good purpose.  I hope to see more developers doing this with Kontakt.

Audiofier's other products also have the problem manual/videos.  They at least try, but I generally have found their documentation pretty difficult to follow.

My one handy tip on Riffendium, you can turn off the fret noise that plays every single time you switch loops using the volume knob "Noises" in the mixer option panel.  Despite many attempts I was unable to find that in the manual or even a reference to it.  Surely that out of place fret noise must bother other people too?

Thanks Michael and Matt.

Matt, I think that was the first thing I did; find and turn down the noises knob which was annoying to say the least. Thanks for pointing it out. Maybe we should collectively put together some tutorial videos or a quick tips guide when we have figured out the ins and outs (no pun intended). I initially thought it was good that they included lots of tutorial videos but haven't had time to review them as yet.

Incidentally, I noticed that my version of Riffendium says RC1 - EGG1.0 at the top.
I am assuming that RC1 is Release Candidate 1. Is this the same version that you guys have?
I purchased mine from KontaktHub and they provided links for the downloads.
There doesn't appear to be any support links on Audiofier's website for downloading updates should they happen.
