Audiosnap - Edit Clip Map - 1/8 Notes?

When using the Edit Clip Map feature in Audiosnap, is it possible to set transient markers to beat markers for beats other than 1/4 notes, say... 1/8 notes?

Sure, there's a "Resolution" setting in the Audiosnap interface, under "Filter"

Thanks for responding, Jonesey. Unfortunately, the resolution filter only affects transient marker detection, not beat marker resolution.

No there isn't but I'd suggest that a clip map that needs editing at every quarter would be so far out of any form of tempo that it would be better re-recorded. Let alone at eighths. Remember the clip map is there to correct tempo fluctuations in the source material.

Thanks, Karl. I'm using it the other way around, actually.

I had a client in and he had a hard time playing to a click, so I recorded him playing guitar/singing without one and now I'm trying to line a midi drum part up with his performance.

I'm not lining up every beat, but I'm trying to make sure that his strong guitar strums have beat markers lined up with their transient markers and sometimes those accents are on the off beat, hence why I was hoping for 1/8 note beat markers.

Anyway, the workaround I figured out was doubling the average clip tempo so that 1/8 notes are seen as 1/4 notes.

Yeah that'd work or marking those that do fall on the beat will usually pull the others into place, unless the timing is awful in which case try the "Set Beat at Now" command and do it manually.

BTW, setting the project tempo to roughly the tempo of the track will be a big help when editing the clip map. Reduces the work required considerably.

Thanks for the tips, Karl. I forgot about "Set Beat at Now". That's basically what I'm doing adjusting the clip's tempo map and using Audiosnap's "Set Project from Clip" feature.
