Audiosnap algorithm for multitrack drums

I am looking for some advice here. I have multitrack drums and want to tighten up some sections with audiosnap. All is well. I can preserve the phase coherence and get a decent sound...but...Have you all had trouble with the "percussion" algorithm on overheads? I seem to get an unpleasant "swishiness" or distortion on the stereo overheads. Yes, I have been sure to follow the procedure for selecting multiple transients across tracks. Have any of you tried other algorithms (e.g., radius mix) with success? I was also wondering if you have tried using different algorithms like percussion on the drums and radius mix on the overheads with any success? Steve

The Percussion algorithm is for online previewing. It's not for final mix. Use one of the Offline render modes (like Radius Mix or Radius Mix Advanced) and bounce your audio so that the AudioSnap changes become permanent. If you want to keep the original tracks, just in case, then clone them first.

Bouncing the audio uses the Offline algorithms, which sound much better than the Online ones.

Scott, that is great advice, but is far from clear in the Sonar manual. It says: "After your AudioSnap editing is finished, bounce to track with a better algorithm: choose one of the Radius choices, or for drum tracks, Percussion is usually the best choice." Well, my ears tell me differently. Thanks, things are sounding better!

I tried this methodology, but it leaves gaps in my audio. The measures occasionally end a hair too early, followed by a gap, followed by the start of the next measure. Its perfect when the clips overlap. I followed it step-by-step..

Increase the MAX Gap size under the quantize settings.
Also If your hits are that far off from the grid make sure your tempo map is correct & your selecting the correct quantize note value for the rhythm.

Thanks, Eric, I will give that a try! Amazing you came up with this approach. Seems like a workaround that really works!
