Audiosnap issues?

Hi,

I see that the audiosnap "clip follows project" feature is up for an update in the X1b patch.

I also have problems with the "quantize" function...it does absolutely nothing. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but I don't think so.

    For test I recorded a very simple click sound on quarter notes, very easy/distinct audio transients quite accurately placed on the quarter grid. I wanted to tighten it up, so I started audiosnap. Firstly, when activating "clip follows project", something does happen...but my click sound does not snap to exact quarters (perhaps it shouldn't?), nor does it start to follow my project tempo (but rather 98 instead of 100). So, "clip follows project" does change the transients, but not to the desired places.  It looks like this;

I then try "quantize". No matter the what settings I use, nothing happens with the audio transients whatsoever...absolutely nothing.

Anyone else has this problem, or am I doing something wrong? Is the quantize function also up for revamp in X1b?

I've had a good share of trouble with audiosnap during the years, can anyone recommend a 3rd party plugin roughly doing the same job?

Take care!

    Yep, audiosnap is very broken. It's going to be fixed in the next patch...

    I'll have three fingers of Glenlivet, with a little bit of pepper... and some cheese.

    Both of the problems you are having are listed in the X1b fix list and have been discussed quite a bit on these forums.
    Aside form those - AS works fine. It's still very powerful - it's just manual, not automatic

    Don't fix it in the mix ... Fix it in the take!

    Yep, those problems will be fixed in X1b.

    In the meantime, you can manually add and adjust transients with the mouse.
