Authorizing Your T-Racks Bonus Compressor - A Brief Tutorial

Here's how I successfully got my T-Racks bonus compressor authorized.  Maybe this will speed the process up for others.  Like many of you, you probably downloaded the latest version of the Authorization Manager (hereafter AM) when you authorized the T-Racks suite very recently.
 
Install the compressor on your DAW and make sure you have an internet connection in place.
 
Start the AM.  When it tells you that you are running an old version and must install a new one, proceed with that option.  I just installed the latest version about seven days ago ... but, whatever.  When you install, it will tell you that the new version you are installing is the same as the one you've got installed (I'm not making any of this up!).  Click install anyway.  When it tells you it cannot install one of the files, click abort.
 
Close all open programs.  Repeat the previous step.  When it tells you a file cannot be installed, click abort.  Reboot.
 
Repeat the first step.  When is tells you a file cannot be installed, click abort.
 
Uninstall the AM.
 
Reinstall the AM.  When it tells you that you're installing the same version as is already present (again, I'm not making any of this up), proceed with the installation.
 
You will finally get an AM version that will run.  Just paste in the serial number and you're good to go.  Easy peasy!  And it only took maybe 20 minutes to get one piece of software authorized.
