Auto Bass Accompaniment

It occurred to me that I have software (Broomstick Bass) that does a passable job of auto bass accompaniment. You choose a pattern for the fills, and tell it the chords you're playing, real time, and it adjusts the pattern to fill in. I also have a Digitech Vocalist, that senses the guitar chord you're playing, and does vocal harmony based on it. What I'd like, is a combination of the two, in hardware. In other words, I choose a simple bass pattern. I play guitar, the unit senses the chord I'm playing, and alters the bass riff accordingly. I know, or I could get a bass player. I wouldn't use the auto bass all the time, and be careful of the cheese factor (some might say it's over the top at the first note I suppose). Just a tool for the toolbox. Anyone know of anything like this?

Yeah, that occurred to me. But it would require a computer, typing in the chords ahead of time, and essentially I would be accompanying it, not the other way around.

A good hardware solution I think would be the TC-helicon harmony G pedal.

Hmmm, at least to the extent I could quickly research this, it's a vocal harmonized, like my Vocalist Live 4 (which I really like, btw), not a bass accompanist...
