Auto fade beginning and end of clip

I get so bored of deleting silent parts in clips, then fading in and out the remaining clip sections to avoid pops, etc.

Is there a way to select a section, delete it, and have the clip before and after it auto fade in and/or out a few milliseconds? Or is there a better workflow I'm not seeing?

Thanks!

Hi. IIRC Craig had one "Tip of the week" regarding something like this. You migth find it somewhere here on this page http://forum.cakewalk.com/Fridays-Tip-of-the-Week-90-Independent-LeftRight-Processing-for-Stereo-Files-m3074655.aspx
    All the best.

If you select multiple clips, fading in or out on one of them applies the same amount of fade on all of them. If it wasn't for this, it would take me hours to do narration instead of minutes
