Automation issue

I have an issue where I have a properly mapped MIDI controller pot to a softsynth (an Arturia one in this instance) control, filter, for example, and while I can control the parameter with the pot, automation will not write; however, if I keep everything else the same and use the mouse to automate the exact same pot/control, it will write the automation.

Anybody have a clue why or a solution?

Thanks.

Click the W to turn it red on and off a couple of times and try again. There some slight bug I bumped into regarding properly mapped controllers where you are actually adjusting the parameter you want to with your controller but it doesn't write the data (even thought the W for write is Red and appears to be marked). Make sure to toggle W both on the track and the Synth separately.

Alex, before you ask, I replicated the problem for Support on the phone and they successfully replicated and said they had it. I didn't write down a bug number.

    Best,

Thanks, I'll give it a try.  Yes, X3e, which keeps crashing on me, but that's a different thread...

I'm on X3e. I tried to recreate the big this morning and didn't succeed. I'm not sure if that means it is fixed or my steps were not remembered correctly. I'll look through my big fix emails related to X3e and see if it is in there.
