Automation nodes writing issue

I'm doing phrasing fades on an Omnisphere audio track while tracking with midi.
I have reset snapshot node values where all the phrases begin.  (audio track)
When writing the automation using mouse+faders in either TV or CV the nodes jump to the last, lowest written node instead of the node I have it set to for the reset value. This happens when stop/starting playback too. There's no controllers used, not set for search back.

At first I thought it could be a mouse issue but it always jumps to the exact & previous node value written after it's been reset.
Is there a setting I can change, something I'm overlooking to stop this behavior?
