Automation of rapture controls in logic

Hi,

Am I just being completely blind here or is this not actually possible!?!
Im using rapture as a VST in Logic 5.5 and all I want to do is control the filter cutoff 1 within logics automation. This seems to be impossible because in logic automation if you look at the list of controllable parameters of rapture there are many but the filter cut off is not one of them. I have also tried recording while playing around with the knobs in rapture and many of them are recorded but not the filter cutoff!!
This is becoming very annoying, am I missing something!?!
Can anyone please help?!

    i don't use logic but can you midi learn the cutoff to say CC 74 and then just automate the midi CC74 in logic?
