Automation track volume bump
If I have a volume automation track, and want to bump the whole thing up at once what is the best easiest way of doing that? I know it can't be how I am doing it now. Can all nodes be selected and raised together?

Make sure nothing is selected, switch to automation envelope/lane and click drag in the top third of the track with the smart tool. Quick and easy. HTH

Figures it is something easy like that I missed. Is there any way of doing that by numerical input? (a set amount to be used as a reference point)Thanks!

Don't think so. The nearest you can get is to select every node in turn, right click, choose properties and the value is displayed there which you can edit using the numeric keys on your keyboard. But having to do this for more than a handful of nodes is going to re-define the word 'tedious'

I wonder Is there a "select all nodes" command to go with that method?

Jerry, even if there was, it wouldn't help - you still have to right click them one at a time to get to their individual properties. I think if you use Karl's method it will select all the nodes - but as I said, this doesn't help you if you want to input the values numerically. In X2a, if you do what Karl says and move the entire envelope, you now get 2 tool tip readouts - one shows the absolute level of the zone where you click, and - much more useful - an indication of how much you've altered the entire envelope by in +/- dB For really precise adjustments you'll want the entire track maximised vertically

xxxsoundxxx I wonder Is there a "select all nodes" command to go with that method? As Colin has pointed out there's no need, as long as*nothing* is selected it will behave as "Select All". That said if you want all nodes selected use the lane selection widget, just to the left of the "Read" button in a lane or select the track with the edit filter set to the envelope.
