Autotune 7 - 64-bit Sonar (X1, I assume)

Hi there

Are there any users of Autotune 7 here who use it with Sonar 64-bit?

I believe there are some unresolved issues with this. It was unclear which version of Sonar was being referred to. The date of the information is 15th march 2011. From the Antares website knowledge base:

If you have tracked a significant amount of graphical pitch data in Auto-Tune 7, it will trigger a crash in a 64-bit version of Sonar when the session is saved.  Graphical data takes up quite a bit of space, and when that gets to be over a certain size (approximately two minutes appears to be the limit), the 64-32 bit bridge in Sonar is no longer able to handle that data and will crash when the session is saved.  We are currently in discussions with Cakewalk over how best to resolve this.  This only applies to 64-bit Sonar; 32-bit Sonar has no difficulties saving any amount of data.

At this time, the only way around this is to manage your pitch data so that there never is more than two minutes of it per instance of Auto-Tune 7.  What makes this extra difficult is that is that Auto-Tune 7 by default counds from time 00:00 of your session, so even if you only need to track ten seconds of audio, if that audio is after the two minute point it will cause this crash.  In order to track audio past the 2:00 in any session, you will need to set the Auto-Tune 7 clock to Internal mode, which considers time 00:00 to be wherever the playhead is currently at.

Is there anyone using Autotune7 with Sonar 64-bit and working around this issue and getting by okay?

MODS - Is there a solution in the pipeline?

    Thanks Freddie

I'm totally going to be getting this.

I was at a friend's a couple of weeks ago who has Autotune7 on a 32-bit system and I found it a lot of fun and liked the layout. I'll likely get Autotune7 too once/if the 64-bit Sonar bugs are ironed out.

    Thanks for the reply Freddie
