Aux track are COOL!!!

I recorded a song which has lots of fingerpicking guitars doubling each other:
- three tracks electric guitar
- two tracks acoustic guitar

This was a nice moment to utilize Aux tracks.
First I routed two acoustic guitars to the "Larrivee Acoustic Aux". Acoustic guitars needed different processing than the electric ones; high freq limiting to get rid of fret noise, lots of compressor and low cut eq.
Next I routed all electric guitar tracks and the acoustic guitar Aux track to a new Aux track, "Finger Mix Aux". Now all the guitars are summed nicely to one track just below the input tracks.  This is just so cool - it's so much faster to adjust things as the source tracks are always next to the mix sum (if you want to).

Screenshot of the actual project:

Note how I have grouped all source and aux tracks solo buttons in order to be able to solo all guitars with just one click. Currently soloing aux track without soloing also the source tracks does not play anything out (correct me if it's user error). Maybe it will change in the future updates.

    Good work Panu.

Don't forget you can put all of these tracks into a folder and simply use the Solo/Mute buttons on the folder itself, this avoids having to group.

Seriously great feature, if only just for the ability to record the metronome as a click track alone! I'm definitely getting great use out of them - kudos, Bakers. Best new feature in years!

    I love it :-)

Many of us asked for this feature for years, and got chastised by many others in the community for having the nerve to suggest it. I'm glad it's taking off!

Great tip! After writing the initial post in this thread I moved tracks into a folder but did not remember to utilize the folder Solo button.

Aux tracks make large projects easier to manage. Big thanks to Bakers who made this possible!

For a minute I thought this was FB and was looking for the "like" button...
Well, I'm getting good use out of the aux tracks as well.  So glad they finally put this feature in.
Makes projects so much easier to navigate...
    Thank you Bakers!

Yes and thank God the aux track act like track tracks as far as the control surface believes.

Just another +1...    My current project uses the Aux Track + Folder combo for guitar, vocal, drum VST and horn VST tracks.   Love it.

Nice! Reminds me of how I used to use track layers (before they became lanes) to achieve a similar grouping-before-effects.

Btw I like the look of your screen colours. I'm guessing this is another one of your "mods". The golden fx buttons are much clearer to my eyes. I hope one day that these options get baked in soon.
