Availability of Line6 POD Farm amps, etc...

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if (and where) I am going wrong.  I own the Line6 POD Farm 2.5, plus the various model packs.  When I record an audio track, I see to the right I can select Audio effects, but Line6 stuff doesn't appear there.  I see TH2 and Brevity stuff and so on, but no Line6 VSTs even though the folders have been scanned.  Now I DO see them if within the clip menu I select insert effect.  Is this how it is supposed to be and if so, is this because these VSTs are (likely) 23bit whereas my setup is 64bit?

Several people here have mentioned using POD Farm, as do I, and this hasn't come up before so POD Farm will work with X3. But some more data would help. Is this a new install of either X3 or POD Farm? Did they show up at one point but don't any more? When you installed X3, was POD Farm already installed? If so, did you do both a reset and re-scan of the plug-ins?

You'll have to figure out where the Pod Farm VSTs are. I had a problem where mine, both 32bit and 64bit, were put in the same folder and only the 32 bit showed up. Since their not showing up in Cakewalks VST list they are probably not there or the 32bit and 64bit were placed in the wrong subset of Program files and Program Files (x86) folders. Look for any folders with the name VST in it. C:\ may have one. C:\program files\common files\ VST 2 or the other in Program files(x86)\Common Files\VST2. They could also be located in a Steinburg folder in either of the program files folders. You can just move them to the appropriate folders you like or just add them to the folder list in Sonar's VST options menu.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

If plug-ins are listed in one place in SONAR but not in another, this is most likely due to the plug-in layout being used. Each place where plug-ins can be inserted has an associated plug-in layout. The layout is specified at the top of the plug-in list.

Ah, I wondered what the plug-in layout was alluding to.  I'll go read up on that then  Thank you.
