BCF2000 Footswitch to start/stop recording...possible?

BCF2000 Footswitch to start/stop recording...possible?

I have searched the 4 corners of the interwebs for this to no avail..

 Can someone simply confirm that I could start/stop recording on my BCF2000 (Macie emu mode) via a footswitch such as the AB200.

 Before I splash out on one.  I'm getting fed up of walking back to the keyboard between every take/mistake.

    im not sure about thay one..i know it doesnt help but my v-studio does this and what a luxury it is..it has play/stop  and play record foot switches that i made.

    I don't have one to try, but I would think this would be an easy task for the BCF and sonar.  you should be able to assign one of the switches to the transport stop in keybindings.

    I've never tried it on my BCF2000, but then about all I've been using it for is the motorized faders.

    I have a wireless "Tranzport" unit that has a footswitch jack and I use a footswitch from my Alesis SR16 with it.

    Plug it into the input and set record as the function in the Mackie properties. I used to use a simple on/off switch all the time although I can't remember whether record stop was possible but record start definitely is. On the MCU there are 2 foot switch inputs on the BCF there's one for a foot switch and the other for controller data.

    In fact you can assign any function that is exposed to ACT to the foot switch.

    Thanks for the replies guys. Shame there is no-one actually USING a footswitch with BCF2000 (or is there?) 

     I know your pretty up on the BCF2000 FBB, so I will purchase the footswitch based on your advice.

    I'm doing just that.  I'm using a normally open, momentary foot switch going into the bcf.  Works fine.  Also had a BCR (until it died) with two other switches wired to it for play and undo.
