I have the software but only used it because it would do cymbal swells. AD2 does them now. I recently reinstalled my OS and haven't installed BFD ECO at all. I even have a Zildjan cymbal pack and have not bothered. Still, it's a good program and a great deal at $29.00.

Perhaps because its big brother BFD3 is the best virtual drum vst out there right now so if you jump on this you'll have some great and different flavoured drums that will also give you an upgrade path to BFD3 should ever decide you want more than what AD2 has to offer. Steve

Its down to taste but I would prefer to have ECO to Adictive Drums 1, the version I got with X3 did not grab me at all. But don't really use either as I use Superior Drummer or BFD3 most of time.

As if I needed a nudge. Purchased ... therefore I have a brain :) ... and a large download (5GB footprint - I guess unpacked).

Yeah - fair cop - plenty of space. But say 2GB at 24mbps (ADSL2+) will take a little while - just finding the download now.

Well done mate!! With this monumental decision you just made.........you're now not only a member, but a permanent G.A.S. addict......welcome to the club!! I like ECO, but my goto drums are AD2.......maybe/possibly until I get BFD3 someday.

Yes - a year in, tooled up and have G.A.S. Must dash and procrastinate over when I'm gonna cull some PlugIns. Condition normal I guess.

Same here re: AD2, just with Session Drummer and Battery also thrown in the mix. And perhaps BFD3 (or 4) someday when I have the funds. But yeah, Eco is very much worth having IMO.

I'll agree with BFD with being the best virtual drums, but BFD ECO doesn't give you an upgrade path/discount etc. as far as I know.

it does but you have to upgrade to BFD 2 then to BFD 3...still cheaper then retail for BFD 3.... When it first was release JRR Shop had a bundle deal that had both the upgrade to 2 and the upgrade to 3 from Eco. That's how I got mine...and am ECSTATIC that I did.

Might have to look into that. G.A.S. has been building for BFD3. Sense an impending eruption at some point.

According to the fxpansion shop there is a path from Eco to BFD3 but at $314 it's not much of a saving and as CCLarry said, it you take the BFD2 path you definitely get your monies worth and I've seen BFD2 for around $130 so you'd pay about the same as the Eco to BFD3 upgrade but you get BFD2 too I have to go and slacken my belt now, too much gas Steve

Yeah..usually when it's a GREAT deal, it won't last long. But Eco hits $29 quite often now. I'm quite surprised that FXpansion hasn't done an update to the "low end" Drum Sampler...
