I got this as a free upgrade because I already owned BOMB (big orchestral marching band). You might not think these types of sounds would be very useful, but to me they fill the gap between acoustic and electronic drum kits. I've read that they work great for hip hop, although that's not really my genre. I'm using them in more of an electronic/industrial context myself.
