BFD2 Kits appear twice

I recently had occasion to reinstall BFD2 and my expansion packs - now there are two instances of each kit in the Load Kit area.

One instance has an icon, the other doesn't. If I Select either and choose Remove Kit, both instances are removed and the kit is no longer available.

I don't want to reinstall again in case I end up with 3 instances of each kit.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks - rev

    Hi Rev
Sounds like you have kits installed in two separate locations. By default they should be installed in, "C:\Program Files (x86)\FXpansion\BFD2\System\Kits" In this folder you should find two files for each kit (one being an image file)
So you'll have something like, "Black Oyster BFD2 Kitfile and Black Oyster TGAfile.

There are two other locations you should check, first will be, "C:\Users\You\Documents\FXpansion\BFD2\Kits" Delete any kits you find in this folder unless they are kits you have created your self.
Also the third possibility is that some might have ended up in the same folder where you installed your audio/data so I would check there too.
    This is unlikely though.

So just to go through again, in the, ""C:\Program Files (x86)\FXpansion\BFD2\System\Kits" folder check that there are two files for each kit and if there are more than two delete the doubles.
Once you've done that, open BFD2 and, "trash & rebuild your database. Hopefully this should fix your problem.

Thanks, I figured that out. (That post must be nearly two years old).

    Oops
I really should check the dates but I can never figure out the way it's formatted over there.
