BFD2 not working in Sonar 5 on Wins 7 OS

Just got my new Studio PC which is built on a Windows 7 64 Bit platform.

I have ordered Sonar X1, but whilst I'm waiting for that to arrive I'm using my old trustee version of Sonar 5 Producer.

I have also just recently upgraded to BFD2 but I cannot get it working with Sonar.

I have managed to open it up as a standalone application and set up my custom kit, but how do I get it to talk to Sonar and midi drum tracks that I have created?

When I run the VST configuration wizard it shows BFD2 listed :


However, when I click next it just hangs :



I've read various posts on the web that talk about Bitbridge and 32bit versus 64bit etc. but I am getting nowhere.

Can anyone help me get this running, as Amazon have just told me X1 will not be delivered earlier than June 21-July 17

Hi Beagle, I'm not sure that is my issue ....

Does BFD2 support 64-bit or other >4GB addressing schemes? No. BFD2 should run as a 32-bit plugin inside a suitable 64-bit DAW environment (such as Sonar 64 'Bit-Bridge' for 32-bit plugins). Please note, however, that these platforms are not part of our standard testing regimes and we cannot guarantee their operation with all versions of BFD2. The last BFD2 version that was successfully tested in this type of environment is 2.0.4.
