Sam Ash also offers the $99 deal. That takes care of the problem.

Yes Rain You can get a download only version. The download version however is 20bit and not 24bit so it's a little smaller. Otherwise it would be a 55GB download. I don't think there is any audible difference between 20 & 24bit but some have complained as you would expect. You can order the disk versions if you prefer but not sure if you can get it at the same price. Steve

You should have 3 folder locations for fxpansion. AppData\Roaming\fxpansion, MyDocuments\fxpansion and C:Programs\fxpansion If the empty folder is in your documents that might be because it's for your own personal saved presets which you won't have created yet. As for not allowing you to install to another drive that sounds like an installer problem. I have heard of it but not had it myself. You can create a folder on your storage drive, call it fxpansion, then another folder inside called BFD Eco in to which you can move your data/audio folder. Then open eco and "rebuild databases" from the main screen drop down. It's best with both Eco & BFD2 to get it all set up in stand alone. When you get BFD2 you can then tell it (hopefully0 to install the data to your fxpansion folder where it will create it's own BFD2 folder. Hope that helps Steve

You know some of us can hear the fine detail of a 24" kick drum tailing off to a 120dB noise floor. Cut us some slack! If only there were hardware that could actually convert beyond 120dB SNR... Hold on… my neighbor's phone is ringing… oh, it's for them.

Most soundcards available today only make use of about 20bits during conversion anyway, so it makes sense to go for the download if you don't want to wait for, and pay more for, the 24 bit discs

I eventually sorted it out and reorganized it manually. Only waiting to hear back from the regarding my SN for Rock Legends (I did receive an e-mail but there was no SN in it - apparently a glitch w/ their server).

And since I hate to leave things like that open when it was solved - I did get my SN this afternoon. Just registered the product (Rock Legends) and downloading right now. Thanks FXPansion.

I didn't say it was download only, I was simply reinforcing Steve's comment that if a potential user opts for the download, then you'll only get 20bit samples, not 24 bit The download version however is 20bit and not 24bit so it's a little smaller. Vintagevibe When you say back up you mean install I'm guessing. The link that I posted looks like it's the boxed version only which IS 55GB. You will need a separate drive that must be 72000 rpm or above. Steve

Wait a sec!! Are we 100% sure, that this is going to work, if what you have in your Fxpansion account is the BFD Eco DV, like the kind you get, if you went for the latest audio-midi no brainer?
