BPMs

S.O.S. Drummers don't you know. Drummer complaining tempo to slow.
Im trying to change the tempos on some guitar tracks I recorded. When I try to make them groove clips a window pops and say's there are 512 BPMs please choose a number between 1 to 256. However the BPMs box is greyed out and I can't change the factor.
I did the tutorials about groove clips and didn't see how to approach this. Maybe I missed that class. Will someone please help.

256 BPM is the max. allowable. Set the tempo to half of what you want and double time. At least things should line up. Are you doing death metal?

When I change the tempo I still get the same window. I did program the Session Drummer and played it as audio file with Edirol. Played along with that to keep my playing steady. When I change tempo the Edirol track does adjust to the new tempo. Im only having trouble with the guitar track I recorded.

There are only 2 tracks guitar and Ses. Drum through Edirol.

Death Metal nah. I would say more progressive metal. More of a focus on guitar and vocals melodies. We are pretty heavy though.

    Thanks,

Set the project tempo to the original tempo, then convet the guitar audio tracks into groove clips. After that adjust the project to the new tempo and the guitar tracks should follow the new tempo.

    Thanks for the advice Boten.
I put it back at its original tempo and still get the pop-up. HS says I need to change the BPMs but won't let me change the BPMs . I even get the message when I use loop constrution view and try to push the enable looping button next to the greyed out BPMs box. It just won't become a groove clip.

    Thanks,
