    I dunno, I kinda like 10Ten's approach.

I prefer his 'warts and all' approach to some of the quite nauseating sycophancy that appears in some of the threads he gets slated in.

I'm not so sure the martyr thing works for him though...

There must be some space someone like myself can post without someone coming on to a thread that is helpful without the fanbois, or the bashers, joining battle with each other...it would be nice...

I have to say, well actually I don't, but I will anyway, (hehe) that I agree with 99.9% of 10Ten's points, but man I wish he would go about expressing them differently sometimes.

Right now he's getting attacked in another thread, two actually ... I think. I've been busy with other things today and haven't been paying close attention. :)

I think it would really help his case as well if he toned the rhetoric down a little.

During all my years as a forum member/lurker, it has never been like this AFAIK. There are quite some characters up there these days. I just admire Cakewalk for their patience with these posters. I'm not sure any good comes out of their arguing, tho...

(Not referring to you Bub. What I've seen you posting here has been a part of the conversations, not just mindless rants - and you do attempt to fix things by trying different suggestions from others. I'm really looking forward to hear what X1b will do for you and I hope it will be gooooooooood!!!)

His rhetoric is quite simply amazing! That's one compliment I will give 10Ten. His message, however, is not always that bright;)

See what you mean Chuckebaby. I got into a big fight with 10Ten (like most of us have) where he got the worst out of me I'm afraid - but I can't take it personal. He hasn't replied to any of my posts since I said I wouldn't communicate with him anymore so I suppose he just realized there were no more fights to pick with me and got bored.

BTW, I called him a noob and stuff since he's newer on the forum than I, but that was "the worst part" thing I reffered to earlier. But he called me a liar and I just wanted to fart in his face - seriously. I didn't mean that. I'd rather read what you write than judge you from the statistics underneath your avatar

Just ignore him - or even block him - and it goes away

It actually has 3 different modes it can work in: Gaming, Entertainment and Audio Creation.
It has the breakout box that has my midi, mic and hi-z inputs on it.
So far it has been quite reliable for me. I'm sure it's A/D D/A converters are probably not as good as some of the pure audio interfaces but until I need more inputs or it dies I'll keep it around.
As far as setup goes with it I guess I've been luckier than most and haven't had any problems getting it to work reliably.

Sorry I took so long to reply, I was talking someone down from a ledge upstairs. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a friend who tried to set it up and the record latency was so bad that we couldn't adjust it enough to make the tracks line up properly. But, I was helping him remotely and I didn't know there was an audio mode. :( I bet that would have fixed it.

It very well could I guess. It is hidden in a somewhat abscure place at the bottom left corner of the Control Console.
I have 412 samples input and 312 samples output on my asio drivers for 724 round trip.
I don't have any problems with latency even running several instances of EWQL Strings. I'm sure there is a limit there somewhere though.

Thats one reason I haven't tried to go to another Sound card of Audio Input. Like they say if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Very true. What we were doing was, I would record the song, comp it to mp3, send it to him, he would drag it in to Sonar and sing his vocal track along with it. Problem is, the record latency would drift, and we could never get it lined up 100%. Too bad, because he ended up going out and buying an M-Audio unit when all he needed was a single simple bare bones input.

I won't tell him we had this conversation. HEHE :)

Hey Dees, are you serious, "Creative SB X-Fi"? If so I have a question.

Yea don't tell CJ if you see him.

I don't need many inputs so it works fine for me. knock on wood.

    Whats your question?
Sorry I took so long to reply, I was talking someone down from a ledge upstairs. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

There are some different models of the X-fi series and I have the Elite Pro that might have some functionality that his doesn't have unless of course he has the same unit. If our conversation slips out sometime you could tell him that.
This is the model I have.

The only thing I don't like about the X-Fi is that Creative has never updated the drivers to 64-bit. That does cause me an issue once in a blue moon with trying to work in a 64-bit enviornment but not too often. One day when I have some extra green just laying around I'll spring for a better interface.
