    I even have a project file that for me reproduces this every time in the hot off the press 2017.04 release (see later in the thread).  This has been a bug for years now.  The drum map version of the bug is funny though.  If you use the vertical zoom (in or out) it will reset the disconnect and let you work.  So I pretty much just zoom in then out everytime I open a piano roll view.
     
    At this point I've given up any hope this will ever be fixed.

    Hi all,
    Thanks for reporting this.
    We've had occasional reports of this before, but for whatever reason have so far been unable to reproduce it in-house.
    Rest assured that we're taking it seriously - it's logged as a priority 1 bug, and I'm looking into it now.
    A user recently sent us a project file that will hopefully help us to fix it too.
    Please bear with us while we investigate.

    I thought this was fixed in 2017.05 yet I am still having the issue on the early release.

    Thank you!  It says in the notes that it was resolved in 2017.05, but it doesn't seem to actually be.
