Back for More-Last years practice & recording
Drums are converted audio to midi tracks for those trying conversions out now. Mic bleed can be heard within the song but is minimal now with drums converted. Song written and played by Torie Marker http://soundcloud.com/dig../back-for-more-10-12-12

I like the sound of that capoed acoustic, there seem to be some tiny timing anomolies between that grungy electric in my right ear, and that beautiful acoustic in my left. In general that electric in the right ear is a little behind the beat "I think" But I'm not sure. That note at 1:07, you need to fix that... Your singer is pretty good! you apply some markno999.vst to your drum bus :-) Maybe a little less of the ride and open hat, and some closed hat in some spots? 2:25 that bend is out of the scale. Wow, it sounds like I'm just btching away! But I actually really liked the song, and that girl is a great singer. You can tweak this and turn it in to a real beauty.

LOL Thanks 19, This was just a band practice session we used to learn X1 when it first came out. This actual recording has came a long way and as I listen and learn in here, it gets better.-SO your ****ing away is REALLY appreciated. I welcome all comments, its the only way for me to learn. I have taken a break from this one for a while and I hear more things now, (much like the stuff you heard), that Im able to concentrate on again. Too much time even with lots of breaks kinda puts you off mark on seeing/hearing what you need to, a couple months has done wonders LOL Yeh the lead guitarist wants to fix the entire lead section, Ive been trying to talk everyone into redoing the song. Hard to get everyone on the same page even when they all want it.

i like this. at first i though it was going to be a Ratt cover :) there are some timing issues maybe w/ guitar? aside from that, it is a good song. singer sounds like Leigh Nash from Sixpence None The Richer, a good thing! -Daren

Thanks ABV Yeh I just checked and I had that particular guitar track clip SLIP before exporting. Ive been down messing about with all the suggestions and it is coming out much nicer. I slipped it back and hit all guitar tracks with audio snap throwing it all back in line Gotta get the lead player to do his thing, I know he was sick as a dog the night we did this-kinda felt bad for him, he is in his mid 60s and really takes it serious even if its just a practice.

Cool tune! I hear the timing problems, and the occasional pitch problem (not many cause I think she has a great voice) but I also hear the making of a good song. I'd like to hear the final cut. Take your time - do not move forward until you feel each section is ready. You got the dudes to pull it off and when you do it'll be great (if you take your time)!! Well done, my friend!! Music is an amazing thing! I love this song section of the forum!! We have some talented folks here.

Mike, there are a lot of good things happening here. The singer's voice is nice, and the arrangement is clean and well defined. It wouldn't take much to make this a gem. You certainly seem to be getting enough practice at this. Well done.

Lynn-Thanks, makes me happy to hear Im making some sort of progress in the right direction. I listen to so many great projects on hear and really am striving to get to that point of being able to look at it physically know what Im actually looking at (The numbers, settings, levels, components, etc..) and be confident in what it will (or what I want it to) sound like in the end. I have so far to go to get where I want to be but am very patient and thankful people in here share and contribute to the learning curve we all go through. Enough babbling on my part LOL Thanks!!!
