it sounds like its a live recording.

I would hope you plan to record it in a more controlled studio setting.  It's hard to hear the potential in it as it is right now due to the reverb and the room noise.

just my 2 cents at this point...... take it to the studio and make it shine.

Yeh was just a band practice inside a huge garage with smooth solid walls and open room mics. Nothing fancy or expensive involved at all with the recording. Just wanted to see what they were all about and possibly get invovled with the band. They have been trying to get me to play with them a lil but...  in time I might.  Yeh looking forward to a good recording in a controlled environment.

This is quite a step up from your previous submissions.  I think it's pretty well done for a live recording.  I hear the separation of the instruments, and the lively room doesn't enter into it as it did on earlier submissions.  The lady has a good voice for this song, and it would really shine in a controlled environment, but this is no slacker.  It's nice to hear you progress.

    All the best,

    Hey, Mike,

I missed the first mix, but this really sounds great, especially for working with a live band recording!

Good songwriting and performances, and she has a dynamite voice that fits the song perfectly.  I'm on my second listen.  The mix sounds nice and clean, and you can hear all of the elements in their own space and very well panned across the soundscape.

Great job, buddy, keep up the good work!

    Hey Mike
I agree with the others sounds GREAT for a live recording.  Nice separation of the instruments in the mix.  KUDOS!

Yea Mike this is a good song with defo potential and a studio recording would be a great idea (but more so worth the money).

To improve on this mix I would just give that female vocal a little more room against the guitars etc and maybe just tighten up some of the percussion (more so the shakers at times)

    Thanks Cian

Great advise.  Its nice to have extra ears in here. Kinda get immune to whats going on when fighting with Live recordings getting the sound you are looking for.  This ones came a long way from where it was but Im learning so much with everyones help trying to do it some justice LOL.

    Thanks again

Wonder why or what is making it sound that way.  Youre the first to report this part. No clipping in the mix before mix down, hmmmmm.
