Background noise issues in Music Creator 5!

Hey all,

I have been recording a podcast for the last year and up until christmas everything was going fine. Up until that date I was using a Yamaha AudioGram as my audio interface and now have upgraded to a Mackie ProFX12 because we have alot of live bands on our show. The problem is, when I start Music Creator I get a bunch of background noise like a hissing sound coming through. There are no specific audio drivers associated with the Mackie, and I have tried downloading an ASIO driver but that doesn't seem to help either. I am using Windows 7 on my PC. Does anyone know of a fix for something like this? Please Help!

Thanks for taking a look,

Aaron

No, I have unplugged everything and the noise is still there. I also sent one of the mixers back because of the noise and got a replacement. Could it be something in the background of Windows that is still running or maybe a driver issue?

Win 7.... 32 bit or 64 bit? I understand that 32 bit is friendly to MC5.

You should run it in the 32bit mode. See if that helps.

I don't know if the answer is in there, but it does mention "pops, clicks and buzzing".
