Backing tracks and Sonar X3 producer.

Is there a way when importing a backing track ....let say from You Tube or where ever...or a tune from a CD, to have the different instruments on their own tracks rather than all in one?
Or is this wishful thinking?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Regards

Look for a MIDI file of the song.

I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.
    Everything is better with pie.
