Tried it and gagged on the taste. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to alcohol - I want my vodka to taste like vodka (none of that flavored stuff), my bourbon to taste like bourbon, and my Jack Daniels to taste like JD. If I want bacon I'll order a BLT, heavy on the mayo, thank you very much.

I have seen things in the liquor store that really made me wonder what someone was thinking. Some good ideas too. Like Billy Beer and the response when Miller Lite first came out.. some may remember this?? ... Harley Davidson Heavy Beer.

Yeah - I tried it at a bar in a restaurant one night. Quoth the raven: nevermore

As to Scotch - I'm more a single malt man when it comes to that stuff.

The Quest for Becan has taken a decidedly odd turn.  Fortunately, such things have a way of rebounding off of a dumpster and careening into the night.  This scenario occurrs, in part, due to the fact that the narrator lost his place or succumbed to another series of narcoleptic fits.  Upon regaining his feet, he generally clears his throat and says, "Anyway..."

So Anyway... one day someone was frying some Bacon and needed to de-glaze the pan. They'd been drinking all night and the bottle of Vodka was right there so... wham! instant de-glaze. After they suppressed the resulting fire, they poured the resulting mixture into a shot glass and called it the hair of the dog. Becon Vodka was born. It's the truth really.

Funny seeing how you all are into your Bourbon. Of course, it's an American thing so comes with the culture I suppose If I even mention Bourbon over here I never hear the end of it. Norwegians.... man, they should get down from the petistal! Anyway, last year I really started liking Jameson Whisky. I get a lot of b*tching about that too (it's not smokey enough or whatever). Who cares what is right or wrong - a good drink is a good drink no matter what other prefers!

So actually, on a hot day (all three of them over here) I like to have some Jameson with Ginger Ale with ice cubes a plenty. Know what that does to me? Gets me drunk and refreshed. Perfect! With a bit of Becan crisps on the side and you have an evening
