I used to work for a baker named Jerry Bungay.

Also went to high school with Harold Beaver (i swear), but of course he went by 'Harry'.

When I was in my early 20s my nickname at work was Booger (not the nose kind). I had long curly hair, ringlets... ala well, 1971/72. I was nicknamed by an older co-worker who thought I looked like a booger bear, or what in southern lore was something from the swamp or deep woods.
Those were some good days and I really loved that job better than any I have ever had... it was just a good time of life. I worked in a mobile home manufacturing plant. We built Peachtree Homes.

"Booger"... I don't use it much because people immediately think nose.

I also grew up as "little Jule" not Jules. I am a Jr. my dad was "big Jule". When I moved away from my hometown the first thing I did was give up on Jule because it always resulted in a drawn ut explaination that, no.. it is not Jewel... n it is not Jules... it is Jule. It was not worth it, Julien is so much easier even though I have to explain that it is not spelled with an "a" but an "e".
It could be much worse. I could be a III. My grandfather was named Willett Rideau (first and middle) I did get the Rideau and I don't usually try to explain that either... and to top it all off my ast name is Bowles and people of sub-Sahara African descent seem to always pronounce it "Bowels"... ahhh.

Oh, that reminds me. My sister is named Bonnie and she got the name "Runny Bowels" hung on her in high school.... it could always be worse.

There was also a guy in our school named Theodore Poindexter...

JRB Jr aka Booger aka jbow aka Julien aka Etowah (I almost forgot. I thought my name was "Boy" until I was 6yo)
