I like the song a lot.

The jaw harp into is a nice touch and it grabbed my attention straight away. Nice banjo too. The production sounds pretty acomplished to my ears.

Nicely arranged and produced.  Although not a genre I listen to I believe that you have the balance spot on, good stuff.

Well, I think it's safe to say that your use of BIAB is completely on target!  Everything sounds right for the genre, and your voice(s) just blends right in.

I knew that was BIAB backing track straight away. Doesn't detract from the song for me though, this is a perfectly put together piece of country storytelling, vocals and backing vocals are really excellent.

There was a great TV mini series about Hatfields & McCoys recently with Kevin Costner and the late Bill Paxton, think I'll watch it again if I can find it!

    James,

There are a lot of people who run BIAB down, but I have to disagree.  I needed song demos and couldn't afford studio time- BIAB works for me.

That miniseries was the inspiration for the song; and the fact that I'm related to the McCoy family.

Mix wise the production sounds on the nail, as to you using BIAB to achieve your goals, we all use what need to do the same, you obviously have a handle on doing so with BIAB.  Thanks for sharing.

Well that's pretty damn awesome right there.  Really enjoyed that.  Not really into that kind of music and it hooked me pretty quickly.  Well sung, very professional sound here on these little PC speakers.  Nice job.
